the dog gets up from a nap it is 130 am ,I am thinking he wants to eat ,but for some reason I change my thinking and ask the dog if he wants milk which he did .After wards he walks around behind my chair and goes back to sleep. When i turn around in my chair and talk with him he then walks around and wants up on the ottoman.I believe that the dog has a certain amount of logic the other day he wants me to throw his pig ear how ever to keep him from wandering up stairs were he usually pees in the middle bathroom i have a board across the threshold, when I remove the board and threw pig ear he heads upstairs .Banshe seems to know when I am brushing the dog he will want to be brushed brushed also. Several months back mom threw out the wood stove ashes which contain partiality burnt chicken bones, once the dog discovered the bones outside nearly every time he would be let out he would snoop around the pile of ashes i dare not use my hands and try to wrangle him back inside i would have to use a broom to get the dog back inside the house. PIG EARS lately the dog will chase the cats way from his pig ears even if he is not chewing on on at the time when we purchase fresh pig ears the dog will look out the car window but usually he really does not eat a pig ear in the car when we go to a coffee drive thru or a gas station he will want a treat how is it i can know what the dog wants usually when ask do you want milk he will dark ask about some thing else he will pause and bark again for some reason the dog prefers the pig ears cold . the dog seems to under stand our activity whether i get the leash or what it means when i shut the lights off in the den during the day or at nite during the day when mom is home that usually means going for a ride which he waits for me to finish what i am doing he waits near the door or close to a door if i am in another room. Most of the time the dog eats what ever we put in his dish then there are times when he wants his wet dog food usually caned .When the dog wants to sit with me when i leave the room and come back he will be in my chair waiting for me to come back when he want to know what i am doing since he can not go up stairs he will be laying in front of the door .

chicken bones

i had tried to dispose of some chicken bones in the wood stove they were not totally consumed by a small fire i made in a attempt to get rid of them mom latter comes in cleans out the wood stove of all of the ashes and dumbs them out side a few feet from the door and for the next several days i have to contend with the dog rooting in the ash heap and finding the chicken bones and wanting to eat them.

Iam eating a thin cracker with a bree cheese spread, the dog J.R is waiting to be snacked after several with cheese and a few plain crackers he refuse to eat the plain crackers.fri oct 30 2014 carol and mom arrived the dog is happy because he can go for a ride . Not to far from were we live on hiway 26 is a bed and breakfast they were having a xmas sale and garage sale of sorts i am the first to walk in the door to which there is a kitten who had been abandoned carol ultimately takes the kitten home . when both the dog and the kitten meet nothing happens the kitten is not afraid of the dog and the dog pretty much is indifferent the cat at on point takes up with the dog trying to suckle the dog . We spend the nit at the ingrmans home the cat is so hungry the cat eats right out of the dish the dog is eating from and J.R does nothing due to the cat being so hungry it gorges itself as does the dog later the cat is given a piece of foil all crumpled up and begins to play with the foil, the dog follows suit then stops to look at carrol as if to see her reaction. Dog AND PIG EARS at nite the dog at time becomes more active he will pick up remnants of a pig ear laying around and toss it around jump at for a bit.every time we stop at the butcher and as i return to the car the dog seems to be alert to me approach and knows that i have something for him now i am sure that the dog smells the meat and can tell by the sounds where he is at how ever the dog seems to have a preference as to when he wants to eat a pig ear and all though he will take the pig ear from me in the car he does not devour the pig hear, were as when we go to a drive thru weather or not it is a fast food or coffee he expects a treat including the gas stations how ever he does not differentiate fast food drive thrus and certain gas stations that do not hand out treats. PIG EARS once at home the dog becomes more interested in the pig ears one time i opened the bag and gave the dog a pig ear and immediately headed down stairs then he waits for me to return and wants me to throw the pig ear no more than two times , the dog likes me to throw any snacks i give him the dog loves strawberries and cantaloupe he becomes more assertive in his begging. Mom has allowed the dog to lick her plate were as i do not and of course he seems to understand what he can get away with . there are time when the dog will not want to go very far for a walk i have practically drag him. PIG EARS there are time when the dog is finished with a pig ear all though not completely devoured there must be some thing about the frozen pig ear and the way it taste to him at times i will play a game and offer the dog two different items or two of the same like two pig ears and ask him to choose he will sniff each item and ultimately pick one . at times the dog is what i call the gate keeper if the cat Sarah wants in and i do not want to get up and let her in he will position himself with in eye contact and look at me as if to say let the cat in .When feeding the cats and the dog i have to feed the dog and banshee at the same time since Sarah eats a top the cat stand banshee eats down on the floor as does the dog and if the cat is feed last the dog will push banshee out of the way even still the dog will go over to the cats dish after eating and polish off the dish .I am working in the garage mom ask if i wanted the dog outside with me since i was sanding i said no mom tries to take him into the house how ever he runs to me and wans me to go into the house another time i made a bed for him in the garage while i was working and he stayed in the bed while i was working at times he will lay in proximity to me , recently at times i have been watching tv up stairs in the front room the dog will eventually jump up on to the couch and lay between my legs or laying on the floor near me , there are times when we are heading out the door and the dog wants to eat hell run back towards the kitchen , often the dogs wants milk and will ask for only i have to figure out that is is milk that he wants usually i am right and for the most part i am right.J.R has preferences towards dogs all though he is always willing to meet another dog he does not like to be pounced on.if i allow the dog to freedom of movement around the house he sits at the top of the stairs until he wants to eat and then barks at me . at time the dog likes to vist mom either on her bed or just laying on the floor

i am getting ready to leave JR my dog he is a sleep after i had left the room i turn around to find the dog laying on the floor in front of the door way watching me.
i brought a used pet bed down into the den since both cats have taken to sleeping down stairs usually because i am he only one home it has a mouse attached to the bed now every time Sarah comes into the room she takes a minuet or two and plays with the mouse.
SNACKS pig ears JR from the smells although undetectable to us humans knows when we are at the butchers every time i get out of the car and return he is looking out the window knowing he will receive a treat.
  in the past i have cut up the smoke pig ears being that they are rather large an to conserve on the pig ears now he will not eat the pig ears cut in half .
after the dog has eaten the said pig ear maybe a inch is left  he stops eating on the pigs ear and wants a new one he seems to prefer both his bone which we get raw and  frozen there seems to be a difference in a pig ear that he chewed on and a fresher one has i gave the dog a pig ear today he sniffs it if he really wants it he will lick at it as he does with the raw bones after he has had his fill of what meat remained on the bone and his fill of the marrow he abandons he bone.
 At times he may not be entirely done with the bone or the pig ear and he will be laying down away from the pig ear or bone how ever when the cats come around that is a different story try and take away either  i have found out the hard way even stepping over him when he is gnawing on the bone .
    Some time back we had chicken for dinner  i attempted to burn the bones how ever our wood stoves chimney had to be clean the partially burn chicken bone were thrown out with the ashes by the chimney sweep for the next several days i had to keep the dog away from the bushes being that  it was raining so going out and hunting for the bones was a problem.
       the dog can and will climb over anything to get to food left on a plate down stairs he now is wary of a small spray bottle so placing  the bottle does keep him at bay .
   CUTE BEHAVIOR
at times when the dog is really hungry and i am talking to him about eating he will hit his dish with his paw  how ever i can not get him to do  this on command  ,at times when i want to take the dog out for a walk  and he is not totally motivated i have to rub his belly when he is seriously wanting to go out for a walk hell go right for the door , at times when i get  ready for bed  i will have tucked the dog in i leave the room and come back he will  be laying in the middle of he bed.
     i find that as humans we are either connected telepathy to our dogs or we know what they are thinking at times the dogs wants me to carry him to the car i t is probably not telepathy  when i am going  out to the car he goes so far and stands on the path way so i have to pick him up and carry him to the car.
       Where they treats are
JR he knows what stops have treat all though he thinks every one should give him a treat after all we humans are eating some thing .
our favorite coffee drive thru is dutch brothers at times we have to restrain the dog  at times i have let the back window down so  he can stick his head out and ask for a treat
some time back  i thought the dog had eaten a chicken bones i had seen bones partially  eaten i immediately fed him bread and watch for the next several day for signs  of issue from the bones.
   THE STRAY
the other day i am out walking the dog , a golden lab it turned out to be a stray  the dog was fair distance away he sees us and lays down and waits for me to approach after the meet and greet  the dog hangs around the dog and i several were playing in the area the dog from my thinking cretas a game he picks up a stick and runs around me close enough fo me to reach out as i did he would pull back and run away .
    a neighbor got a hold of the dog  i went over with the dog as soon as i did her dogs go out  turns out most were   friendly  .
 not long ago the dog and i came across a collie when we approached the dog he bowed his head  , i began to scratch his hind quarters when i stopped he would manuvered his rear end  so i would continue.
   LET THE CAT IN
often i will not respond immediately to the cats request to be let in there are times when the dog will get up and look at me as if he is telling me let the cat in the other day the cat Sarah had been in my bed room i faintly heard something but ignored it the dog gets up and looks at me then i figured out that the cat was in my bedroom.
    WERE IS THE CAT FOOD
with two cats and one dog it is really a challenge of timing to feed them all and keep the dog away from the cat food the cats will defer to the dog  other wise the dog eat the remains of the cat food still after eating the dog goes over to the cats dish to check out any remains in the dish.
   if mom has been gone all day the dog becomes  more active when she comes home as of late he has not been doing this all though late in the evening the dog will become more active he will play more with the pigs ears. more often then not the dog loves for me to get down on the floor and talk to him when he wants to lay down in between my legs he will ask to get up or if my chair is empty he will be sitting in my chair when i return.

I THINK THERE FOR I AM
       the dog seems to have a mind of his own from what pig ear he wants or a choice between a bone or a pig ear  or where and how long of a walk he wants and when he wants milk as when he want cream added to the milk or weather or not he wants to stay with me .
  there is a small park which i let the dog off his leash so he can run around a bit how ever this time i pointed out a small dog at this point he takes off running fortunately the dog was small and friendly this is about the only time the dog wil move fast is when he sees a dog .
      some time back we came across a puppy peek around 8 weeks old pk/  would have nothing to the dog even though the dog was very interested in jr .
a former peek owner related this story to me one winter her dog became lost on the rim which is were we live  later he was found unharmed buried in the snow her daughter when the daughter would return home her dogs would line up waiting to greet her, they dogs were not allowed to be on her furniture how ever during her absence they would jump on the furniture  often the pair would jump on her unmade bed cover them selves up with the blanket each on opposite sides of the bed when she came home they would hide them selves .
      we visited a relative they have a female peek she was tethered jr was laying down right at the end of her tether,other visits honey seemed to show PK/JR  around the yard.
 MILK DANCE
often the dog will  want something and will become excited hell run around and do a dance of sorts ,the other day i laying down on the floor talking with the doghe is wanting what turns out to be milk i rubbing his belly and at the mention of milk he starts to bark and run  around

you cant have your tunna untill you eat your liver

lately banshee our cat has been refusing to eat the liver flavored cat food  he wants his tuna not any tuna it has to be water filled tuna and any time he wants the tuna  he will yell cry the most nerve racking cry that is why i named him banshee the other day he was hitting up my mother who he is totally bonded to for tuna  so she tells him that in order to have his tuna he has to eat  the can liver much to her surprise he did  many times banshee will be the one to let my mother  know when Sarah wants in the other day we were discussing why Sahara does not allow my mother to hold her her conclusion was all of the various perfumes she wheres we agree as if to confirm this in the  morning  Sarah comes in and jumps in bed i approach her and she runs away suffering from sore mussels in a few places i have been using a strong liniment indigent she  sleeps in the other room Sarah s personality is not as assertive as Dominick all though she does let him know she is the boss every one gets along fairly well lately Sarah has been eating the dogs can meat how ever i really think that  she has a impish side to her because ever so often at night she will do some thing to the dog that will send him into frenzy

the past couple of days junior has been wanting me to pay more attienon to him down on his level he would roll around nibble on my shirt  lately he doesn't like the can food now he wants eggs today he didn't even want that he wants the hot dogs  i find it ever so amusing to talk to him when he is hungry i mention the hot dogs that gains me a huge vocal bark then i ask him if he wants a cookie he all most barks at he makes partial lunge at me but it is almost as if he thinks no i don't want a cookie  i want the hot dog

with a dog as clever as mine you often have to guard what you say like i cant mention going for a drive which is his favorite thing to do we planed our day  the dog was aware that we are going to be leaving soon he cuts his walk short and waits at the top of the stairs later my mother heads out to the car not hearing her i resume  watching tv the dogs comes to me and lays down later when we return home every one has to be fed i trying to fix something to eat my self so i did not pay to much attention to see if he was eating when i did look over at him he was not eating  banshee my moms cat was nibbling at the dogs can meat  then the dog turns around and begins to eat later the cat and the dog start to play with the same ball we have laying around
